Marian Borgia, LCSW-R

New Perspectives Clinical Director

I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from SUNY Albany in 1999 and have almost 25 years experience in a variety of clinical settings. I provide adults with a safe space to address a variety of issues that they may be experiencing. These issues may include depression, anxiety, stress and trauma. I tailor my approach to each person’s needs with the use of different modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I am also trained by the Trauma Institute on EMDR and Flash interventions. Both modalities are person centered techniques that help individuals effectively cope with trauma in a way that respects a person’s privacy, and avoids re-traumatization. I will meet you where you are emotionally and together, we can find your way to creating your best self.
