New Perspectives in Albany, New York is seeking an in person and/or teletherapy clinician(s) to join the practice. Clinicians can work hours of their preference on a flexible schedule. We are looking for clinicians to work with adolescents, adults and/or couples across a range of topics and concerns. Clinicians can work full-time or part-time for the practice. We also offer opportunities for those who have a limited permit.

- Opportunity for Advancement: Eligible for a supervisory role after 6 months, where you will mentor and guide mental health counselors with limited permits
Position Requirements:
- NYS LMHC, LMHC-D, LMFT, or LCSW-R
- Experience in a private practice therapy setting with adolescents, adults, and/or couples
- Able to document the therapeutic process according to practice standards and adhere to deadlines
- Optimistic outlook and enthusiasm for mental health work
- Can operate independently as well as collaboratively in a larger team setting
- Full time – choose your own hours – 30+ clinical hours per week
- Part time – choose your own hours – less than 30 clinical hours per week
Mental Health Counselor – Limited Permit:
- Pay $40+ per hour for full-time (30+ direct hours per week) or part-time (less than 30 direct hours per week)
- Full-time position incentive: If you consistently provide 30 hours of direct service per week and demonstrate a full-time commitment to the practice you will be eligible for increased compensation

Requirements:
- Limited permit to practice counseling in New York State
- Master’s degree in mental health counseling or related field
- Commitment to a minimum of 30 direct service hours per week
- Excellent organizational, writing and communication skills
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement of therapeutic skills
- Strong work ethic coupled with a genuine passion for therapy and the healing process
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage scheduling, openings and cancellations through our EHR platform
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, manage weekly/bi-weekly sessions and treatment
- Complete notes for each session in a timely manner
- Maintain a quiet and private space to conduct therapy sessions
- Engage in weekly reporting and learning with your supervisor
