New Perspectives Mental Health Counseling PLLC was developed by Lori George in August 2021 and is a private mental health counseling practice in Albany, New York. We are offering services to individuals ages 18 and up.

Lori George, LMHC
I am a graduate of Sage College with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Community Psychology. My therapeutic style is active and engaged. I provide clients with empowering tools to become self-efficient in society, relationships, work and life. We will work together to find the treatment type that is best for you. I offer counseling services to adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress and compassion fatigue, relationship difficulties, grief, and trauma issues.
I am one of David Kessler’s Certified Grief Educators. A Certified Grief Educator is committed to providing the highest level of grief support through education, experience, and insights into the often unacknowledged rocky terrain of grief. Certified Grief Educators completed a certificate program designed by world-renowned grief expert, David Kessler. They bring his unique methodology, tools, and decades of experience to help people navigate the challenges of grief.
Each client’s needs and goals require an individual approach, which I accommodate through the integration of psychodynamic, solution-focused, multicultural and person-centered approaches while using CBT interventions. I provide non-judgmental support and understanding. I believe in meeting clients where they are on their emotional journey while maintaining a safe place in which the client can challenge themselves.
